POWAY, CA —A Filipino American History Month celebration will take place Sunday, featuring performances by Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts and the Filipino American Cultural Organization.
The event will take place at the Poway Branch Library, 13137 Poway Road, and will also feature a martial arts demonstration by Doce Pares.
Organizers said families can play Mahjong, learn to weave leaf headbands, sing karaoke, and sample traditional snacks. The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. and is free to attend.
