Arraignment Set for Stabbing Suspect

A man suspected of stabbing a guest at a party in Poway was scheduled to be arraigned today.

Arraignment was scheduled today for a San Diego man accused of stabbing a juvenile in the stomach during a weekend party in Poway.

Kueth Tut Deng, 18, was arrested and booked into jail on Sunday morning on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities said the previous night, a group of unwanted guests crashed a party on Lingre Avenue, near Gaelyn Court and a fight broke out.

The victim, whose identity was withheld because of his age, was stabbed three times but was expected to survive, according to authorities.

The assailant fled the house party before authorities arrived. Deng was arrested at his home hours later.
