AT&T Holds HACEMOS National High Technology Day in San Diego

Eighteenth Annual Event Provides Insight into Technology Careers with Hands-on Demos and Discussions.

On Thursday, Feb. 25, AT&T’s Hispanic Employee Association HACEMOS held its 18th annual HACEMOS National High Technology Day across the U.S. and Mexico, including in San Diego.

The San Diego event, held at one of AT&T’s local offices, enabled Mission Bay High students to participate in hands-on technical activities and interactive sessions. Students got a chance to tour an AT&T facility, participate in a technical demonstration and learn about careers in technology.

This year HACEMOS has teamed up various partners such as National Geographic Explorers, General Motors, HISPA, KellyMitchell, and AT&T’s Aspire Mentoring Academy to provide students with a variety of enhanced experiences in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The goal of HACEMOS National High Technology Day is to expose our youth to positive role models, communicate the importance of education and the possibility of careers in technology.
