Summer Book Sale At Rancho Bernardo Library This Saturday

A bag full of books is $3 for members of the Friends of the Rancho Bernardo Library and $5 for non-members.

RANCHO BERNARDO, CA – The Summer Book Sale at the Rancho Bernardo Library is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29. A bag full of books is $3 for members of the Friends of the Rancho Bernardo Library and $5 for non-members.

The sale is presented and staffed by the nonprofit Friends, whose mission is to raise money and public awareness in the community to support the services and programs of the library.

"There is an interesting inventory of books, CDs and DVDs available this year that are available at below bargain prices. Every penny from this sale goes toward new products for the library, so the community benefits both ways," said Dick Luehring, volunteer book sale manager.

He noted that this type of fundraising effort is more important than ever with this year's San Diego Library budget cuts.

"RB Friends support is more crucial than ever to continue RB library's Children/Young Adults programs, its numerous Adult programs, purchases of books, DVDs and presentations of its various concerts."
