Families, community members, and supporters of the fire service are invited to participate in the inaugural Firefighters for Hope – Cancer Walk, a 10K walk/run through Poway to support the mission of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network.
Emceed by Tommy Sablan (Little Tommy) of KUSI-TV, the event raises awareness around occupational cancer risks in the fire service, the leading cause of firefighter line-of-duty deaths, and helps expand access to critical survivor support programs nationwide.
By raising funds through the inaugural 10K Walk, FCSN can continue to deliver support, education, and advocacy, giving firefighters and their families hope, community, and the resources they need when facing cancer.
