Charlie Musselwhite

Charlie Musselwhite
doesn’t just top the competition – he towers above it!  Mississippi born
Musselwhite is one of the most revered blues harmonica players in the world. He
is also a respected singer and songwriter in his own right and has won
countless awards during his legendary career including a 2014 GrammyÒ for
Best Blues Album (with Ben Harper), 27 Blues Music Awards, induction into the
Blues Hall of Fame in 2010 and multiple GrammyÒnominations.
His collaborations include musical giants like Howlin’ Wolf,
Muddy Waters, Big Joe Williams, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Tom Waits,
Eddie Vedder and John Lee Hooker.

His playing will have echoes of Jimi
Hendrix, the Blind Boys of Alabama and even the laidback groove of Jack Johnson
here, but make no mistake: this is the blues!

About his music, Charlie states “The blues
sounded like how I felt growing up. Too many people think of the blues as sad,
but I think many of these tunes will immediately dispel that notion, as they
are fun, dancing tunes that lift your spirits.”
