I hear people often say that politicians, et al need to show and use common sense. That it is absent in so many things. However, it is then therefore not as common as people portray it to be.
It is quite uncommon but then again if it is in fact a sense, it is then too impacted by other senses. I counter common sense, proposing logic as the key go-to.
Logically... by doing what is for the greater good, of the greater majority... that is in the sense of handling needs and then handling wants. In the spirit of individualism, I argue that it is up to the individual to handle their own wants. That government is solely a facilitator to orchestrate access to opportunity. In this sense, it is not emotional as a sense would be. It is ultimately logical.

Therefore, it is logical to vote not the party but the candidate on issues, it is logical to focus on local and immediate needs and yet logical to balance long term interests to balance between two conflicting conditions. It is both the conservative and liberal thing to do. Conservative because it is about conservation of the very basic nature of our decision making process and liberal in that no one is doing it today. Save America, Be Logical.
