A biker discovered the body shortly before noon Tuesday, a San Diego County sheriff's sergeant said.

POWAY, CA: A bicyclist came across a dead man Tuesday in a mangled car hundreds of feet down an embankment alongside a rural North County road.
The discovery next to Scripps Poway Parkway near Danielson Street in southern Poway was reported by the biker shortly before noon, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Preliminary evidence suggested that the vehicle crashed off the roadway at least a day ago, sheriff's Lt. Jim Walker said.

Authorities said it appeared the victim — a man between 20 and 30 years old — had been driving westbound on Scripps Poway Parkway when he ran off the north side of the roadway.
His vehicle, a Nissan 300ZX, traveled up and over a dirt berm and then went down into a ravine, where it rolled over, sheriff's Sgt. David Cheever said.
