Discovery Isle Preschoolers Donate Over 2,700 Items to Diaper Bank

Students at Discovery Isle Preschool on Ted Williams Parkway in Poway recently donated 820 diapers and more than 1,900 wipes to San Diego Food Bank’s Diaper Bank Program. From Sept. 24 through Oct. 2, students held a donation drive as part of National Diaper Need Awareness Week, which draws attention to the issue of diaper need in the United States. Following the collection, students prepared the donations for delivery to the San Diego Food Bank, who will distribute the items to local families in need. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in their community.
