Donate to local causes is best by contributing to the local economy.

I recently saw an advert touting "We donate to local causes." However, the advert was not specific. It was very nondescript. Very dubious.

Companies tout that they donate to “local causes” -- whether they are descriptive as to which causes or not-- however they fail to tout that they treat their employees well. That to me is the greatest local cause-- contributing to the economy and contributing to quality of life.  Treating employees well increases morale which increases performance and quality of performance. There is a demand for work at that business and as such there is a competitive climate in the hiring space. To donate to local causes as a marketing ploy, particularly when you leave it nondescript-- is dubious at best. But being a valued employer shines in ways that
