125th CHAPEL BIRTHDAY PICNIC

will host a Chapel Birthday Picnic on Saturday, 3-6 PM, to celebrate 125 years in Poway as the oldest wooden church holding continuous services in San Diego County.

The event begins with dedications by the mayor of Poway with the full City Council in attendance.  There will be live music (strolling musicians), games for children, an art exhibition featuring the Chapel, with prizes awarded between 3-4 p.m., an antique car show and tours of the chapel.

The old-fashioned birthday picnic, catered by the , will feature hot dogs, hamburgers and all the trimmings. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for military, seniors and children under 12. They can be purchased at the event.

There will also be an Opportunity Drawing for $100.

Early arrival time is recommended as parking on adjacent streets and nearby lots may be needed due to the number attending.
