Are you a family campout veteran? Itching for a pre-summer camping trip? Then the Adventure Series Family Campouts at Lake Poway are for you! The campouts will take place April 14 through April 15 and again on May 19 through May 20. You will have the option of registering for “fishing and boating” where you can try casting your line under a full moon (7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) to land a trophy-sized trout or a record-breaking bass. The second option is to register for “hiking activities” and enjoy an adventurous 2.75-mile night hike around Lake Poway.
Both campout options include: camping for four, daytime shoreline fishing, a campfire, and hot chocolate or coffee on Sunday morning. Families may begin setting up their campsites at 7:00 a.m. Starting March 6, register your family for either “fishing and boating activities” or “hiking activities” based on your preference; space is limited for each activity. No alcohol is permitted and camping takes place rain or shine. For more information, visit our website at www.poway.org/lakepoway or call (858) 668-4772. Register online at www.poway.org/classes or in-person at the Community Services Department located at City Hall, 13325 Civic Center Drive.
