Veteran San Diego musicians and workshop instructors Janet Beazley & Chris Stuart will teach an introductory class designed to demystify Bluegrass style harmony singing. This fun and friendly class is appropriate for beginners and more experienced singers who want to improve their harmonizing skills. The class will work on finding and learning harmony parts by ear, arranging the trio stack, harmonizing in duos, trios and quartets, as well as learning how to refine vocal blend, intonation, and phrasing. Time allowing, we will also spend some time listening to recordings of classic bluegrass harmony singing to compare and contrast signature sounds and styles. No previous experience necessary!
