If you're attending the free El Cajon Ford Youth Fishing Derby at Lake Poway on Feb. 4, you can spend the night before at the lake.
The registration fee for the overnight camping is just $15. The evening includes a free pizza dinner sponsored by Baker Oil Tool and a fishing seminar to ensure that the kids' fishing rods/reels are in proper working order and rigged with the appropriate tackle.
Families will need to bring their own camping supplies and food to barbeque. Grills are available, but you are encouraged to bring your own. Families may start setting up campsites at 7 a.m. Friday morning. No alcohol is permitted.
