Wizard of Oz Presented by St. Michael's School

POWAY, CA – March 23, 2013 – Join Dorothy Gale as she is swept away to a magical land in a tornado and embarks on a quest to see the Wizard who can help her return home.  This exciting adventure will unfold at St. Michael’s Holy Family Center in Poway, April 18-20.


This newly-released Young Performer’s Edition of “The Wizard of Oz” features beloved songs “Over the Rainbow” and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” along with some snappy new tunes which will surely delight kids of all ages. “After almost four months of hard work and dedication, the cast of more than 50 St. Michael’s students, grades 1st through 8th, are very excited to present this classic tale,” said Claire Orona, Music Director of The Wizard of Oz. 


“In its fourth year, the theater program at St. Michael’s School helps students develop an appreciation for the performing arts.  It also teaches discipline and stage presence and gives children confidence to perform in front of an audience,” Orona said.

Performances begin at 7 pm on Thursday, April 18, Friday, April 19 and Saturday April 20. There will also be a matinee on Saturday, April 20, at 2 pm.
