Here are the top stories in and around Poway today:
- A significant winter storm will bring widespread rain, mountain snow and gusty winds to Southern California on Tuesday, prompting National Weather Service advisories and watches for San Diego County, including Poway. (Poway Patch)
- A plan to increase the number of homes of The Outpost mixed-use project was approved by the Poway City Council. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
- Eight people were arrested during a five-day undercover sting operation targeting San Diego-area prostitution crimes, California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced. During the countywide crackdown by the multi-agency San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force, law enforcement personnel worked undercover, posing as customers of illegal sex services by responding to illicit online advertisements. - San Diego International Airport and elected officials broke ground on the T1 project, which is intended to replace the outdate Terminal 1. Construction on the project began Nov. 1. It has been divided into three components: terminals and roadways; airside improvements; and a new administration building. (City News Service)
