Man Accused of Crashing Party, Stabbing Guest to Face Judge

A San Diego man accused of stabbing a juvenile in the stomach and assaulting two other people during a house party in Poway was scheduled to be at the downtown courthouse today for a preliminary hearing.
Kueth Tut Deng, 18, is charged with attempted murder and assault in connection with the Oct. 26 incident on Lingre Avenue near Gaelyn Court. The defendant was arrested and booked into jail early the next morning at his home.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, a group of unwanted guests crashed the party and a fight broke out.

The juvenile, whose identity was withheld because of his age, was stabbed three times but survived. No details about the two alleged assault victims were released.
A judge will decide at the end of the preliminary hearing whether there's enough evidence to order the defendant to stand trial.
