Man Fatally Stabbed In Fight In North County

The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at a hospital, Escondido police said.

ESCONDIDO, CA – A 19-year-old man died from a stab wound following a Tuesday night fight in Escondido that police said was gang-related.

The Escondido Police Department received a 911 call at 7:21 p.m. reporting two men were brawling in the area of Washington Avenue and Ash Street, authorities said.

Arriving officers found Alfredo Manzano of Escondido with a stab wound to his chest, police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from the injury.

There is no description of the suspect, police said, adding that anyone with information can call Det. O’Donnell at 760-839-4756.
