Masked Gunman Robs Mira Mesa Check-Cashing Business: Police

The alleged holdup was reported at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, San Diego police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA: A masked man dressed in dark-colored clothing and armed with a pistol robbed a Mira Mesa check-cashing business Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The thief, who appeared to be in his 20s, pulled the gun on a clerk at Check 'n Go, 9460 Mira Mesa Blvd., and demanded money about 1:15 p.m., according to San Diego police.

The bandit, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and had a handkerchief over the lower part of his face, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, Officer Frank Cali said.
