  1. Poway Unified School District will not require a COVID-19 vaccine for students for the remainder of this school year. (CBS 8)
  2. Dozens of California's ambulatory surgical centers recently ranked among the best facilities in the nation, according to a new report. In San Diego County, 14 facilities made the list, according to America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2022, new rankings from Newsweek compiled in partnership with Statista. (San Diego Patch)
  3. San Diego-based fast-food chain Jack in the Box announced an agreement to acquire rival Del Taco in a $575 million deal. (San Diego Patch)
  4. The number of COVID patients hospitalized in San Diego County decreased from 303 to 296 in the latest state figures. Of those patients, 84 were in intensive care on Sunday, a decrease of one from Saturday. (City News Service)
