"Old Poway Ghost Walk"

 "Old Poway Ghost Walk"

On autumn nights, especially around Halloween,  there's a haunted feeling in the air around
Old Poway Park.  Someone is playing the
piano in the old Nelson House, but when people go in to investigate, no one is
there.  A portrait of Mrs. Porter on the
wall of the Porter House has eyes that seem to follow visitors as they walk by.  What is she watching for? And down by Rattlesnake
Creek, the ghost of someone floats by on the wind. Walk through the park with storytellers Charles Johnson, Patti Christensen, James Nelson-Lucas and Marilyn McPhie, and hear stories at every turn.  Gypsy Fiddler Rachel Amov adds tunes to the spooky fun.  Meet at the fountain and bring a flashlight.  More information:  Old Poway Park, 858-668-4576 or Marilyn McPhie  858-484-1325
