I am on the road a lot. I drive hundreds of miles a month. And more regularly than I would have ever predicted do I see people run red lights, cut people off and drive erratically. Often just before someone else does the exact same thing, and to them, only to have them honk and erupt. For example, last week I saw a black sedan cut someone off. Only to later have that person cut the black sedan off. The black sedan started honking seemingly belligerently. I look at the vehicles, to see if there are any patterns. I see both Democratic and Republican stickers on these cars and in even proportions -- so politically it looks like all sides are law breakers. But more so I notice that vehicles without stickers, tend to be the greatest culprits. As if a concern that if anything should make it so they could be identified. I bring politics into the mix because often you hear one side blaming the other for ills that are present on both sides and in seemingly the same proportions. It is hypocrisy. Ultimately, we can belong to the same group and present pressure as a peer to do what is right-- what is safe and what is logical, not emotional. If we can work together here, then we can work together anywhere. And if/when we see someone else do it, we can not feel angry we can only feel pity, for they have not yet evolved to understand.
