PNEC Meeting to Feature Poway Fire Inspector Role for Fire Safety

Senior Fire Inspector Andy Loperena to Discuss Fire Safety Process for all Poway Structures

The senior fire inspector for the city of Poway, Andy Loperena, will address the community about his department's role in keeping the city safe from fires at a 7 pm Thursday, Feb. 15 community meeting in Poway City Council Chambers on Civic Center Drive.

Andy will talk about the team of fire inspectors employed by the City of Poway and their responsibilities. The permitting process of new homes built in Poway and the overall fire safety process for all structures in Poway will be addressed. He will also cover the inspection process the fire department does in advance to ensure the safety of the new businesses and the annual review process for recertification of ensuring fire safety for all businesses.

This meeting is presented by the nonprofit Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps (PNEC) that works to complement the City of Poway Emergency Operations Plan through a grass roots communication network of neighbors. For more information on PNEC, please visit http://powaynec.com.
