Poway DMV Office Now Open Earlier

POWAY, CA — The California Department of Motor Vehicles is now opening its Poway office and dozens of other field offices across the state an hour earlier.

Since July 1, to help ease customer wait times, the Poway office has opened at 7 a.m. every weekday except Wednesday. On Wednesdays, the office will continue to open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m., according to the DMV.

The Poway DMV is located at 13461 Community Road, Poway.

Other San Diego County DMV offices that are open earlier include the locations in El Cajon, Oceanside, San Diego Clairemont, San Diego (Normal Street), San Marcos and San Ysidro. The Chula Vista field office has offered extended hours since last summer.

In addition, 62 DMV offices throughout the state, including five in the San Diego area, are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday.
