The Poway Elks Lodge commitment to charity, is always ready to help out our kids! Fundraising Dinner for Brian's Blessing for a Diabetic Alert Dog for local 10 yr old Brian Krans Hernandez.
This Community Fundraiser (Public Welcome!) for Brian Krans Hernandez, 10 yr old Grandson of the Former Poway Fire Chief, Bob Krans is to get him the Diabetic Dog who is trained to respond to a high or a low blood sugar in three different ways and save his life. Brian was born with type 1 Diabetes and has major sugar swings that land him in the hospital. Diabetic Alert Dogs that can smell the change in blood sugar and avert a crisis. These trained Dogs are very expensive and the goal for Brian's Blessing is to raise the $20,000 necessary for a dog for Brian.The Doors open to the Community at 5 p.m. The Roast Pork Dinner will be served at 5:30 with all the fixin's. There will be a raffle and 50/50 drawing.
Tickets will be $10, at the door.
