Evan Gray ran for four touchdowns and Ryan Moreno added two more on the ground as the Poway High football team opened the 2011 season on a high note Friday night, racing past Scripps Ranch 41-21.

Gray, who had 160 yards rushing, scored on runs of 39, 1, 40 and 34 yards. Moreno ran in from 8 and 5 yards out as the Titans picked up more than 300 yards on the ground.

Two kickoff returns for scores by Scripps' Bernard Bonne kept the Falcons in the game, but after they pulled even at 21-21 early in the third quarter, the Poway defense dug in and hel Scripps Ranch scoreless the rest of the way.
