Poway's Halloween Safety Tips

Thank you to our Poway Sheriff's Station for the following Halloween safety tips:

• Make sure your costume and shoes fit well to avoid trips and falls.
• Use retro=reflective tape on your costume and bag to make you easier to see at night.
• Go in a group and bring a trusted adult with you. Bring a flashlight for when it gets dark.
• Look both ways before crossing the street, and only cross at crosswalks.
• Avoid texting or talking on the phone while crossing the street.
• If you do not have a sidewalk to walk on, walk On the left side of the road, facing traffic, and obey all traffic signs and signals.
• Use caution when crossing driveways, and never cross in between cars.
• Wait until you get home to eat your treats. Have a parent or trusted adult check your bag to make sure it is safe.
