RB Library Chamber Music Series to Feature Benedetti and Svoboda
Guitar Music with Slavic, Latin, Indian and Middle Eastern Influences Set for June 28

Fred Benedetti and George Svoboda will perform their unique combination of guitar music, ranging from peaceful melancholy to cascades of furious flamenco rasgueados, at the Rancho Bernardo Library at 6:15 pm Wednesday, June 28. Free-will donations are accepted to defray the cost of the musicians.
Both musicians have performed all over the world and are also composers. Benedetti has performed locally with the San Diego Symphony, the San Diego Opera, the Starlight Opera, the American Ballet Company, the Old Globe Theatre, Luciano Pavarotti, and jazz artist Dave Brubeck. He is a full-time professor of music at Grossmont College where he is chair of guitar studies and along with Svoboda is a member of the guitar faculty at San Diego State University. Svoboda is a guitar instructor at Mesa College, Grossmont College and is a faculty member at CSU San Marcos.
