Scooby is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 6 year old, 106 pound, Great Dane.
Scooby is everything you expect in a Great Dane. He has no idea that he’s a big dog.
When the care providers and volunteers join him in his kennel, Scooby leans on them. If they sit down, he’s happy to sit on their laps.
Scooby likes having something to lie on. It can be as small as a hand towel. As long as there’s something, he’ll lie on it.
He was adopted from other shelters then returned. Big dogs aren’t for everybody. His next home needs to be his last.
Scooby was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.
The $145 adoption fee for Scooby includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org.
Kennels and Cattery open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
