Sorry Guys, It's 'Ladies Night Out'

Take a break from life and go out with your ladies for some fun.

Every woman deserves a night out with her fellow ladies. Lucky for Powegian women, a local swim school provides just that.

Karyn Morrill, owner of , started “” last year as a way to provide an evening for women to enjoy wine, food and shopping.

“It’s a great excuse to get out of the house, enjoy our event and then maybe meet up with some friends for dinner afterward,” Morrill said. “I’m a mom myself and it’s easy to get busy in the daily routine so it’s nice to have something to look forward to attend, even if for only an hour!”

At “Ladies Night Out,” each woman that comes through the door receives five raffle tickets, and the first 50 through get a gift bag filled with prizes. The raffle tickets can win you prizes from various vendors at the event and Morrill said there’s a secret to upping your chances of winning.

“The ladies who go up to a vendor and inquire about their products or even make a purchase will receive three to five more raffle tickets,” she said. “Each vendor provides some sort of item or gift certificate for the raffle along with other local businesses.”

The vendors at tomorrow’s Night Out will include Dahlia’s Traveling Boutique, who Morrill said has “amazing clothes your friends will think you bought at Nordstroms;” Xtend Barre Studio, who will be there demonstrating their classes and offering exercising tips; , who will be providing food and gift certificates; Michael Joseph Hair Studio; Scentsy Candle Company; jewerly lines and a special breast cancer booth.

“This year we will have a table set up for the Floaties 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk team,” Morrill said. “There are five of us who will be walking in the 3-Day Walk. If any of our guests would like to make a cash donation, they will then receive extra raffle tickets.”
