Sunrise Management Promotes Poway-Resident Marc Corless

Sunrise Management – which has specialized in the management of multifamily properties since 1978 – has promoted Poway resident and former PETCO exec Marc Corless to the position of chief people officer.

Previously the director of human resources for the growing San Diego-based firm, Corless will take charge of all aspects of human resource administration and management – including policies, practices and operations – for Sunrise.

With a 30-year background in corporate human resources, Corless was most recently vice president of human resources for WIS International and worked in the same capacity for 11 years at PETCO Animal Supplies. He has also held executive level positions with Liquid Investments and Cipher Data Products. With significant experience on a multi-state level, he will continue to lead and develop human resources operations for Sunrise locally, regionally and nationally.

According to Joe Greenblatt, president and CEO of Sunrise Management, Corless is a longtime leader and innovator in the human resources field and a key member of the executive team. “Marc will continue to apply his considerable expertise to organizational development, strategic planning, employee development and retention, risk management, talent acquisition and much more,” said Greenblatt. “As we continue our expansion throughout the west, he will play a critical and growing role.”

A resident of Poway, Corless holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from San Diego State University.
