The annual Youth Theater Camp
takes more than 60 local children from auditions, to rehearsals, to the stage
in just one week. After auditioning on
Monday, March 2nd, the young cast members will spend the week learning their
lines, perfecting their dance moves and crafting a full-scale musical
production of The Little Mermaid.
The Poway Center for the
Performing Arts Foundation’s Youth Theater Camp is presented as part of the
Foundation’s Arts in Education Initiative,
serving 3,000+ children in grades K-12.
The Arts in Education Initiative
is presented in part by AT&T, the Betsy Dam Fund for Arts Education, Wells
Fargo, Target and US Bank.
