UPDATE: Power was restored by 9:40 a.m.
POWAY, CA – Thousands of residents are without power Monday morning in San Diego County, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.
SDG&E reported on its outage map that 2,271 customers have no power in and around the communities of MCAS-Miramar, Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Sorrento Valley, south Poway and south Ramona.

The outage started at 8:07 a.m. SDG&E estimates power will be restored by about 11 a.m.
The cause of the outage is being assessed. No other information is currently available.
