Woman Dies After Poway Road Crash
The 81-year-old driver of a VW Passat died after the collision Tuesday in Sabre Springs.
SAN DIEGO, CA: One of the drivers involved in a head-on collision in the Sabre Springs area has died, authorities said Wednesday.
Carol Crow, 81, was behind the wheel of 2007 Volkswagen Passat that veered into oncoming traffic on Poway Road near Sabre Springs Parkway and slammed into a 2008 Cadillac CTS shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police and the county Medical Examiner's Office.
The San Diego woman was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla's Intensive Care Unit, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 9:30 p.m., according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

The 72-year-old man driving the Cadillac was not seriously injured, police said.
