Woman Killed In Poway Crash

POWAY, CA – A woman was killed Tuesday evening in a solo-vehicle crash in Poway.

Deputies from the Sheriff's Poway Station responded to the crash around 5 p.m. at 12630 Monte Vista Road, near the Centre For Health Care in Poway, according to sheriff's Deputy Sean Boegler.

Investigators determined that the woman's Honda Civic crashed into a cement wall adjacent to the parking structure at the Centre for Health Care. The car sustained major front-end damage.

The 83-year-old woman was taken to Palomar Hospital in Escondido, where she later died, Boegler said.
