RAMONA, CA — Ramona residents who rely on San Diego County services should plan ahead as several government facilities prepare to close Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day.
The county announced that government offices, family resource centers, county-operated libraries, public health centers and animal shelters will be closed in observance of the federal holiday.
The closures will affect residents seeking in-person assistance with county programs, library services and public health appointments.
Residents planning to visit the Ramona library or other county-operated facilities are encouraged to complete their business before the holiday or wait until normal operations resume.
County parks and campgrounds will remain open during their regular operating hours, although some recreation offices and community centers will be closed.
Law enforcement, emergency animal control response and other essential county services will continue operating throughout the holiday.
Normal county business hours are scheduled to resume Thursday, Nov. 12.
Veterans Day, observed annually Nov. 11, honors the men and women who have served in the United States military.
