Authorities Investigate Threat Against Julian High School

"At no time were our students or school in danger," Superintendent Patrick Hefflin​ said.

JULIAN, CA – The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is investigating a possible threat involving a Julian High School student.

Sheriff deputies contacted the student suspected of making the threat off-campus, according to Superintendent Patrick Hefflin.

"At no time were our students or school in danger," Hefflin said in a statement posted on the district's website.

The nature of the threat is unclear. No further details have been released.

"I know this is difficult, but please understand that we are limited in terms of what we can share due to privacy and safety concerns," Hefflin said.

"The incident is being investigated by law enforcement, which responded quickly and with whom we are working closely to ensure students are safe while on campus. I ask that you please refrain from conjecture or spreading rumors as this situation unfolds."
