Congressional Action Now!
Congress must act now to bring financial fraud criminals to justice.
The 650 page report released by the Senate Subcommittee on Investigations chaired by Senators Carl Levin and Tom Coburn provides evidence of the most destructive financial crime spree in our history.
Therefore now is the time for our elected representatives, including the County Board of Supervisors, to demand that Congress:
Enact tough regulations and supervision of financial markets to prevent future corporate fraud tied to sub-prime mortgages and foreclosure scams;

Prod the Justice Department to prosecute those investment bankers and hedge fund managers who knowingly sold worthless mortgage backed securities and lied under oath to Congress at the said April 2010 Congressional hearing and to seize the assets of all Wall Street executives responsible for the financial crisis.
The abandoned foreclosed homes, empty storefronts, pension fund shortfalls and loss of essential governmental services all offer testimony to middle class burdens. All our elected representatives must acknowledge these losses and work for justice now.
