Keep Your Kids off 10th Street!

With Halloween coming I wish to strongly suggest that we keep our kids off 10^th Street, because an apparent evil power lurks under or around it.  I believe this to be true after observing the evil power’s effect on the people driving home from church. 

For many years now I have been standing on the corner of 10^th and Main streets on Sundays with posters that often have the word peace.  The response from people driving home from church has often been extremely negative, and I know they are coming from church because they are dressed in their Sunday best.  In one example, a car pulled up in front of me while waiting for the light and the 10-year-old kid in the back seat with a nice jacket and tie gave me the one-finger salute.  My poster was about peace. 

The evil power part of this story comes from my experience in church where peace was defined as a gift of God, and I am certain that all the churches in Ramona teach the same.  Thus, somewhere between the churches up 10^th, and Main Street, the word peace is changed from a gift of God to a swear word worthy of the one finger salute.  Often the people coming from church don’t seem very happy either, so the evil force must be changing their attitudes also.

This must be a powerful force to have such a quick and negative effect on our good people, so therein lies the threat!  Keep your kids off 10^th Street, and drive a different way home from church if you know what’s good for you.
