Brush Fire Burns 14 Acres In Ramona
The blaze, called the Casner Fire, broke out on Old Julian Highway at Creek Hollow Drive, according to Cal Fire.

RAMONA, CA – A brush fire sparked Monday morning in Ramona, scorching 14 acres and sending smoke into the air.
The blaze, called the Casner Fire, broke out on Old Julian Highway at Creek Hollow Drive, according to Cal Fire. The fire moved at a moderate rate of spread in medium fuel.
The fire was first reported around 10:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol's incident logs. The caller said he was clearing the field when the fire started.

Crews fought the flames from the ground and the air. By 11:30 a.m., firefighters halted the spread of the fire, which burned 14 acres. The blaze was 25 percent contained by 12:45 p.m.
There was no threat to any structures, officials said.
