Chase Bank Robbed In Ramona

The robber threatened he had a gun.

RAMONA, CA – A Chase bank branch in Ramona was robbed Tuesday by a man who threatened he had a gun.

Deputies received a radio call about 4 p.m. describing multiple silent robbery alarms from the branch located at 1467 Main St., according to Lt. Christopher Davis with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Arriving deputies were told by a witness that the man had threatened he had a gun, Davis said.

The suspect escaped before deputies arrived, he said.

The FBI was notified and took over the investigation, Davis said.

It's unclear how much money was taken.

Anyone with information about this robbery was asked to call the sheriff's department or the FBI's San Diego Field Division.
