Larry Eiler, who was the original co-owner of Eiler Tire & Brake in Ramona, died November 27 after battling a short illness. He was 58.
As president of Eiler Brothers Tire and Auto Centers, he helped open the Ramona shop in the late 1980s, according to a Ramona Sentinel article. It was renamed Eiler Tire & Brake when his brother bought out the shop in 1996, and was recently purchased by a fifth-generation Ramonan.
Larry moved with his family to Salem, Oregon and was employed with the Bridgestone Firestone Corporation.
