Almost every day, a customer will wander in to Unicorn Books and Gifts and say, "I didn't know Ramona had a store like this!" Why is it that Ramonans don't shop in Ramona? I've traveled to a few different small towns outside if San Diego this summer and found that the locals are fiercely loyal to independent and small businesses. We have a growing winery business that is attracting more tourists. We need to make old town a more interesting place to shop to help support them. Local business needs both local residents and tourists to spend time and money on Main Street in order to survive. If you haven't been by 6th to 8th streets lately, you should. We have all been working hard to spruce up our shops and there is more variety and better quality than in the past. Come see what we are doing to make Ramona better. Feel free to share this with your friends.
