The weather was hot enough Monday in Ramona to break the previously held record.

RAMONA, CA – The weather was hot enough Monday in Ramona to break the previously held record.
With a heat wave washing over the region, temperatures spiked to 100 degrees by 1 p.m., breaking the record high in Ramona, according to the National Weather Service. The previous record was 105 degrees in 1997, the NWS reported.
A red flag warning issued by the NWS for parts of San Diego County, including Ramona, is scheduled to be in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday amid forecasts of hot, dry and windy weather in the inland valleys and mountains.
