Ramona Breaks Temperature Record

High temperature records were also broken in Alpine and Vista.

RAMONA, CA – With a spring heat wave hitting parts of San Diego County, the weather was hot enough Monday to break the record high temperature in Ramona.

By 10:19 a.m., the temperature spiked to 94 degrees, breaking the previously held record high in Ramona, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature eventually climbed to 97 degrees in Ramona. The previous record was 90 degrees, which was set in 2014.

High temperature records were also broken Alpine, where it reached 92 degrees (90, 2014), and Vista, where it reached 89 degrees (87, 2014). Escondido's high of 93 matched its standing April 9 record, set in 1897.
