On 11/4/21, at approximately 7:00 PM, North Coastal Sheriff's units responded to a report of a traffic collision in the area of the 900 block of Encinitas Blvd. Citizens on scene reported to responding units that one of the occupants inside a 2007 Toyota Corolla was trapped inside the vehicle. Encinitas Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and advised the male male occupant of the vehicle was deceased. There were no other injuries in the collision.

The Sheriff's Department "STAR" team and traffic investigators from the North Coastal Sheriff Station are investigating the cause of the collision. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the cause of the collision at this time.
