Scrooge Meets Dickens at PowPAC

The holiday show will run Dec. 2 to 18.

is packing a punch this December with “Mr. Scrooge and Mr. Dickens,” running Dec. 2 through Dec. 18.

“Mr. Scrooge and Mr. Dickens” is a variation of the long-cherished holiday classic “A Christmas Carol.” The play, written and directed by longtime Southern California newspaper columnist Charles Carr, also has a charming new enhancement—Charles Dickens himself appears onstage to read sections from his manuscript.

Produced by Heidi Ward, the production also boasts carolers, dancers, music and powerful sound effects, and includes a visit from ol’ St. Nick.

The play runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors, students and active military, and $14 for groups of 10 or more. To make a reservation, contact the PowPAC Box office at 858-679-8085 or email boxoffice@powpac.org.
