Groceries for Le$$: Slash Your Food Budget Without Clipping Coupons!

Why pay more? I'll do the research, we all reap the benefits! I will help you avoid overpaying for food at our local grocery stores.and best of all, no coupons!

If we were friends, I'd casually tell you of the great deal I found, but since we are friends who haven't met yet, I created this blog as an alternate method of sharing this information with you.

What a lousy day to start this blog. This week's sales are really weak. However, it’s a great time to introduce myself.  Better yet, maybe the supermarkets will become aware of us and compete for our attention!  Give me a call Ralph (or is it Mr. Ralph), we’ll do lunch.

Why does it bug me when I see someone I don't know, buying grapes for $2.99/lb. at Albertson's when I know they are on sale at Henry's for .99c/lb.? Furthermore, what makes me walk up to this stranger and offer; "Did you know those are on sale at Henry's for .99c/lb.?”  Who appointed me Sergeant Savings?  No one!  I guess it's just my nature.  If it's not a quality issue, I prefer not to pay more than I have to.  I assume most people would tend to think similarly. Things are tight all over and families are struggling. Saving a bunch of money each week on groceries seems like a pretty painless way to keep more money in your purse.

You know the pile of flyers and supermarket circulars that you throw in the recycle bin each week?  Well, I actually read them! I'll compile a list of commonly purchased foodstuffs and where to get them for less that week.  If you clip coupons, good for you.  I can’t do it.  I don't have the patience to; read, cut, date, file and then remember to use them!  It's OK though, we will save plenty of money right here in a quick, painless and concise blog. You don't even have to read my periodic anecdotes.  Just use me and save yourself and your family...easy money!  Of course, I'd appreciate your comments (calling me a cheapskate doesn’t hurt my feelings) and pay it forward by passing the blog information along to your family, friends and neighbors in the community.

I understand the issue of convenience and I will offer an overall best supermarket choice for value for any given week if you just can’t make the extra stop, but would it be worth it for you to spend and extra hour or drive and extra mile if you were reducing your food budget by 25% per week? I would and I did.

Please note that I am sensitive to the desire for a healthy lifestyle and healthy way of eating and I know none of you would EVER buy soda or heaven forbid, a cookie. However, since these products are piled to the sky in every supermarket (for show I guess), forgive me if I mention these sale prices as well, simply for my  information lol.
