DeMaio Hosts ‘Picnic at the Park’ Campaign Fundraiser in RB

San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio is holding 25 fundraisers in 23 days for his mayoral campaign.

San Diego mayor hopeful Councilman Carl DeMaio held a "Picnic at the Park" fundraiser at Webb Park in Rancho Bernardo on Saturday, one of more than two dozen events set for June.

Supporters were given free food and drinks while DeMaio talked about his plans to create jobs and balance the budget. About 50 people attended.

DeMaio officially announced his run for mayor at on June 5.
