May is National Foster Care Month and this year, The Barrel Room in Rancho Bernardo will be celebrating by donating 20% of all proceeds on May 18th to the Disadvantaged Youth Alliance (DYA), benefiting college access programs for foster youth in San Diego.
Bring
your friends and family for a delicious meal, tasty drinks (they even
offer brunch on Sundays!) and be a part of making a brighter future for
foster youth in San Diego!
Most 18
year-olds who are "aging out" of the foster care system are without any
support system and 66% percent end up homeless, in jail or die before
the age of 19. DYA believes that providing the guidance, support and
resources to put these youth on the path to college can make all the
difference. We are dedicated to creating a brighter future for this under served and
disproportionately impoverished group of children.
